MSA Trainees Prize
The MSA Trainees Prize supports education, research and professional development by giving doctors and Anaesthesia Associates across the Midlands an opportunity to present their work, share clinical learning and gain recognition from the anaesthetic community.
MSA Trainees Prize Presentations at the Autumn Meeting
The Midland Society of Anaesthetists has a long tradition of supporting education in the Midlands through its annual Trainees Prize for presentations on anaesthesia, intensive care, and pain management.
The competition now forms part of the MSA Autumn Meeting, giving participants the opportunity to present their work to anaesthetists from across the region.
The MSA Trainees Prize encourages trainees to showcase clinical work, research, audits, quality improvement projects and other areas of professional interest. It also provides an opportunity to discuss ideas with colleagues and experienced anaesthetists attending the meeting.
Who Can Enter
Open to doctors of all grades, including foundation doctors, and Anaesthesia Associates.
Verbal Presentations
Five shortlisted presentations, with 10 minutes to present followed by up to 5 minutes of questions.
Poster Presentations
Selected posters are displayed at the meeting and judged by a senior panel during the breaks.
Recognition & Prizes
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, prize money and certificates recognising all accepted submissions.
Share Your Work With the Midlands Anaesthetic Community
Abstracts are competitively shortlisted by a panel of senior anaesthetists for verbal or poster presentation.
Successful applicants can present their work to the wider MSA community, with prizes recognising high-quality contributions and presentations.
