Anaesthesia CPD is central to maintaining and developing professional knowledge throughout an anaesthetist’s career. The Midland Society of Anaesthetists supports continuing professional development through educational meetings structured around relevant CPD areas within the Royal College of Anaesthetists framework.
Continuing Professional Development Framework
The Royal College of Anaesthetists has developed a CPD framework designed to support professional development and feed into revalidation.
MSA meetings aim to cover all three levels of the matrix, with a particular focus on Level 2 topics. These are delivered through a five-year rolling programme, helping anaesthetists build relevant CPD across a broad range of clinical areas.
Our anaesthesia CPD programme links meeting content to the appropriate framework areas, making it easier for attendees to see how individual sessions contribute to their professional development.
Each meeting section will identify the corresponding CPD area being covered. In the example below, “Use of Nerve/Plexus Location Techniques” is highlighted.
